Murray Osorio is proud to announce the promotion of Anam Petit to Partner. An experienced immigration attorney and former Immigration Judge, Anam brings a comprehensive understanding of immigration law and procedure to the firm. From 2023 to 2025, she served on the bench at the Annandale Immigration Court, where she distinguished herself through her thoughtful and thorough approach to the bench, presiding over complex removal proceedings and adjudicating a wide range of immigration matters with compassion, precision, and a deep command of immigration law. Prior to her judicial appointment, Anam was a Partner at Calderón Seguin PLC, where her practice included removal defense, family- and employment-based immigration, humanitarian relief, asylum, waivers, and appellate advocacy.
Throughout her career, Anam has also demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching, mentorship, and service to the immigration law community. She previously served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center and has contributed her experience through professional trainings, media engagement, and extensive pro bono work. Her promotion recognizes the depth of experience, leadership, and dedication she brings to Murray Osorio and its clients.
