Sunny Shah is fervent advocate for immigrants’ rights. He focuses his practice on affirmative cases, including family petitions, naturalization, waivers of inadmissibility, and humanitarian petitions, as well as removal defense.
Sunny’s family immigrated to the United States from London when he was five months old. Due to his challenging immigration history, Sunny has been immersed in the hardships of the immigrant community since a young age. Because of the substantial impact this experience had on him and his desire to ameliorate the lives of other immigrants, Sunny decided to pursue a career as an immigration attorney.
After completing law school, Sunny joined Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Atlanta, Georgia, where he dedicated himself to learning the complexities surrounding immigration law. There, he served low-income immigrant communities by appearing at master calendar hearings, assisting detained individuals in custody redetermination hearings, and providing legal advice to pro se detainees.
Prior to joining Murray Osorio, Sunny was an Immigration Attorney at Socheat Chea, P.C. There, he managed his own caseload that encompassed a variety of immigration cases. Sunny’s vast understanding of immigration law and fluency with certain languages has allowed him to develop a distinction among the South Asian community.
