Kate Bernal-Guerrero
Whatever Your Immigration Legal Needs May Be, We Are With You
About
Kate Bernal-Guerrero is the daughter of Peruvian immigrants and was raised near Little Lima, New Jersey. Her family’s immigration experience sparked an early interest in the challenges faced by immigrant communities and ultimately shaped her career in immigration law. Kate studied History and Political Science at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where she became involved in local, state, and national politics. She interned with a U.S. Senator and a former New Jersey governor, focusing on Hispanic and Latino outreach and immigration policy.
She later transitioned into the legal field of immigration, drawing on her policy and legislative experience. With nearly five years as an immigration paralegal, Kate plans to attend law school and pursue a career as an immigration attorney. Kate is grateful to work alongside a team dedicated to supporting immigrant families and is particularly motivated by the personal connection she has to the communities she serves.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys traveling, exploring distinct cultures through food, sustainable fashion, and continued learning about history and politics through books, museums, and digital media.
