Erick Cipau
Whatever Your Immigration Legal Needs May Be, We Are With You
About
Erick Cipau is a seasoned litigator and immigration attorney with nearly a decade of experience practicing before immigration judges and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Erick joined Murray Osorio PLLC after spending nine-and-a-half years as an Assistant Chief Counsel with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In that role, he litigated more than 2,200 application merits hearings in the Boston, Arlington, and Sterling immigration courts. Erick’s experience working within the government gives him a distinct understanding, not only of what makes a successful application, but also of what strategies the government is likely to use to challenge relief, in court and on appeal. Additionally, his unique knowledge of how the government establishes new policies and reinterprets the law, from one administration to next, makes him adept at identifying problems and opportunities for clients navigating an increasingly complex immigration process.
Before focusing on immigration law, Erick worked for several years as a securities regulator for the Massachusetts Securities Division.
When he is not working, Erick enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, gardening, traveling, and training to preserve his evaporating athleticism.
