President Issues Proclamation Extending Suspension of Entry of Certain Immigrants and Nonimmigrants

President Trump issued a proclamation continuing Proclamations 10014 and 10052, which suspended the entry of certain immigrants and nonimmigrants into the United States in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The proclamations have been continued until March 31, 2021. DOS provided an update regarding the extension.

Proclamation 10052 of June 22, 2020, titled Proclamation Suspending Entry of Aliens Who Present a Risk to the U.S. Labor Market Following the Coronavirus Outbreak suspends “entry into the United States of any alien seeking entry pursuant to any of the following nonimmigrant visas” from June 24, 2020 until March 31, 2021.

Proclamation 10014 of April 22, 2020 titled Suspending Entry of Immigrants Who Present Risk to the U.S. Labor Market During the Economic Recovery Following the COVID-19 Outbreak. That proclamation suspends entry of certain new immigrants who do not already have an approved immigrant visa until March 31, 2021.
