Michelle A. Patino is a Senior Paralegal with extensive experience in U.S. immigration law, spanning both litigation and non-litigation matters. She has worked in the immigration field since 2021, following an early internship at an immigration law firm where she discovered her passion for this area of law and committed to pursuing it professionally.
Throughout her career, Michelle has supported a wide range of immigration cases including family-based, humanitarian, and removal defense matters. Her current focus is on detained immigration cases, where she plays a critical role in managing complex proceedings before the Immigration Court. She is deeply involved in case preparation and regularly liaises with attorneys, detained clients, and government agencies, including USCIS and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant filings.
In her role as Senior Paralegal, Michelle oversees case workflows and trains and mentors paralegals, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and adherence to court deadlines. She brings a strong leadership presence to her work and is known for her organizational skills, and commitment to advocating for clients navigating detention and removal proceedings.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), combining legal expertise with operational and management insight to support both client outcomes and firm growth.
