Justice Haynes
Whatever Your Immigration Legal Needs May Be, We Are With You
About
Justice Haynes is a lifelong Washingtonian with a deep commitment to immigration law. After working as an immigration paralegal, he attended the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, graduating summa cum laude. During law school, he served on the UDC Law Review, interned at the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic and the Northwest Immigrants’ Rights Project, and participated in the UDC Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where he successfully represented an asylum seeker in Immigration Court.
After law school, Justice gained invaluable government experience. He was hired through the Department of Justice Honors Program to serve as an Attorney Advisor to Immigration Judges. In this role, he drafted hundreds of judicial decisions, giving him a behind-the-bench perspective on how judges analyze cases. Following his time in immigration court, Justice served as an Associate Attorney in the Refugee and Asylum Law Division of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Chief Counsel. Here, he was the agency's lead attorney in over 100 federal asylum-delay litigation cases and acted as a subject matter expert on complex asylum issues.
Justice’s extensive experience inside the government provides his clients with a distinct advantage. His time with the Immigration Courts and USCIS gives him a unique and comprehensive understanding of how the government adjudicates cases and defends its decisions. This insider's perspective allows him to anticipate agency actions, craft more effective legal strategies, and navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
In his spare time, Justice can be found playing soccer or basketball, birdwatching, or backpacking in the mountains.
