About
Alexis Shanes is an attorney at Murray Osorio PLLC focused on defensive matters. She previously was a litigation fellow for an international nonprofit, where she developed survivor-centered, trauma-informed legal strategies for individuals in fragile, conflict-affected settings.
Alexis earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a student attorney at the Center for Applied Legal Studies. While at Georgetown, Alexis also conducted human rights fieldwork in Erbil, completed more than 100 hours of pro bono service, and served as executive articles editor at the Georgetown Law Journal and president of the Georgetown International Society.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys distance running, hiking, and competing in dog agility tournaments.
