President Biden has announced new measures to support American families, and Murray Osorio, PLLC is eager to help several of our clients and their families achieve their immigration goals under this new policy. 

This new program allows U.S. citizens with noncitizen spouses and children to apply for lawful permanent residence without leaving the country. This will benefit noncitizens who have resided in the U.S. for at least ten years and are legally married to a U.S. citizen, allowing them to remain with their families and obtain work authorization for three years.

To be eligible for this new program, individuals must meet the following criteria:

• Presence in the U.S.: Must be present in the United States without admission or parole.
• Continuous Residence: Must have been continuously present in the United States for at least 10 years as of June 17, 2024.
• Valid Marriage: Must have a legally valid marriage to a U.S. citizen as of June 17, 2024.
• Safety and Security: Must have no disqualifying criminal history and not pose a threat to national security or public safety.
• Discretion: Must merit a favorable exercise of discretion.
