About
James is an attorney at Murray Osorio who started as an associate in April 2025. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, James’s passion for immigrants’ rights is deeply rooted in his upbringing in New Mexico’s vibrant immigrant community. James is proud to represent his mixed heritage as a Black and Latino attorney.
James received his juris doctor from American University Washington College of Law in Washington D.C., where he participated in the Immigrant Justice Clinic as a student attorney representing clients in naturalization and U-Visa proceedings. Prior to law school, James received his M.A. in history from the University of New Mexico, where he focused his studies on post-colonial migration to Western Europe.
Outside of work, James loves to play and watch basketball. He also loves to travel internationally and experience new cuisines and cultures.
