Ice Announces Another Extension to I-9 Compliance Flexibility

ICE announces another extension to I-9 compliance flexibility, no more extensions for employers to respond to NOIs served in March.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today announced an extension of the flexibilities in rules related to Form I-9 compliance that was granted earlier this year. Due to the continued precautions related to COVID-19, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has decided to once again extend this policy for an additional 30 days. The expiration date for these accommodations is now September 19, 2020.

ICE also previously announced that after July 19 no additional extensions will be granted to employers who were served notices of inspection (NOIs) by ICE during the month of March 2020.

Please contact your Murray Osorio representative to discuss the I-9 compliance flexibilities and how we can assist your HR in assuring your company is in compliance.
